Wahoo on a JimyJig and Sailfish!

Headed out today with a few clients. The seas were calm and so was the bite like its been most of the week. However the bites we found were quality!!! Robert from NY landed this gorgeous sail! Rob landed a 45lb Wahoo using once again a JimyJig DV superglow jig. After two more sails were hooked and soon after lost we called it a day to get that Wahoo on some more ice! David gets first kayak Sailfish!

David made the trip South with his brother Rich, a returning customer from NY to try their luck and get David offshore on his first kayak trip. David even though it was his first time kayak fishing trip did great! He followed my instructions to the tee after hooking into this beautiful sail. After 30 min of fighting and several close full aerial jumps David landed his very first kayak fish! Fishing was a little slow for the day but we were happy to come back with these pics! Florida Anglers Strike Back for the Extreme Crown

Not your average kayak folk competed last weekend in the nation’s exclusive Sailfish Smack Down 2015. This second-annual event brought sixty one anglers to Pompano Beach, FL from all over the US and Canada, and once again the tournament proved to be one of the best events for saltwater kayak anglers.

3 Clients 4 Sailfish, Mahi, Kings and Tuna

It all started last Wednesday. 3 clients,1 from Colorado the other from Canada and one local. They flew down for one thing, a South Florida sailfish lap dance. They gave me 4 days to put them on sailfish, got it done the first day out. We went 3 for 3... Thursday and Friday were kings, football tuna, skippies, cudas, and jacks. Saturday we ended our 4 day offshore marathon with 3 mahi, 2 kings, a tiny tuna and another sail. It was Gary's first trip offshore and he landed a black tip shark, a king and a sailfish. Not a bad few days of work.

2 Days in Boynton

Hit up Boynton the past few days looking for Wahoo, Brian and I set off at 6 am to meet Ken from Extreme Baits in about 90 ft of water. Got a quick local report on the bite and off we went.. It was sloooowww. I jigged my butt off for hours and finally got a hit.. a rat king... On our way back in I hooked up to a nice Sailfish, game on! A quick video and some sailfies and off she went...

Boynton Drift 1st SAILFISH

Doug and I met up with new client and Paul at Gulfstream Park. It was a late start as we made our way out and met up with Extreme Baits (THANKS CHUCKD FOR THE HOOK UP) and loaded up the live well and found a nice rip in 60 ft. As soon as the first gog hit the water it got smashed. Sleigh ride time! After a little while his 60lb braid popped . Re tied, put a new gog on and we continued to troll out. Shortly after air show, sail on! After grabbing some great footage the sail was released. Also saw a Sub out in Boynton today, I guess its not only Dania.
