Another great day off Boynton Beach!

Today we had a fun couple from NY join us. We were greeted with great conditions as we headed out from the beach. The seas were calm but the kingfish were not! We had multiple hook ups and ended the day bringing back kings and enjoying the gorgeous South Florida day!

Florida Anglers Strike Back for the Extreme Crown

Not your average kayak folk competed last weekend in the nation’s exclusive Sailfish Smack Down 2015. This second-annual event brought sixty one anglers to Pompano Beach, FL from all over the US and Canada, and once again the tournament proved to be one of the best events for saltwater kayak anglers. Windy offshore so we headed inshore for tarpon and snook

We met at the beach at 6 am and it was nasty. Weatherman was wrong. Winds blowing and the waves were pounding. We decided to head inshore for "Plan B". So off to an inshore spot in Miami and sure enough it paid off. Nick got a nice 40" snook that was a fatty and I hooked up but the hook pulled on what I think was a tarpon. Great way to save a day.

Boynton Drift 1st SAILFISH

Doug and I met up with new client and Paul at Gulfstream Park. It was a late start as we made our way out and met up with Extreme Baits (THANKS CHUCKD FOR THE HOOK UP) and loaded up the live well and found a nice rip in 60 ft. As soon as the first gog hit the water it got smashed. Sleigh ride time! After a little while his 60lb braid popped . Re tied, put a new gog on and we continued to troll out. Shortly after air show, sail on! After grabbing some great footage the sail was released. Also saw a Sub out in Boynton today, I guess its not only Dania.

Dania Lobster Dive!

Headed out around 1030 am with Jimmy and Rob to get some video with the new gopro dive housing. I took the guys to a spot I had located last year that looked promising. We were greeted with great weather and flat seas. The visibility was mediocre but we still managed to capture some nice video! We saw an abundance of various reef fish and lobster. It was lobster dinner for everyone! Enjoy the video!

Tarpon Time

The wind was projected to be pretty strong today offshore and that it was! Rob, Joe and I had hoped to go offshore this morning but the weather just wouldn't allow it, so a last minute decision this morning led Rob and I down to Miami for some tarpon fun. We fished hard for several hours before we worked up some action! Rob got a monster (what we think) was around 80-100lbs? I was also lucky to land a nice 30-40 pounder! Enjoy the video from today!
