Kayak Fishing Trips

South Florida Kayak Guide is happy to offer offshore and inshore kayak fishing trips throughout South Florida. Our offshore trips are offered on the East Coast of Florida between Dania Beach and Boynton Beach, FL. In this area of Southeast Florida we are blessed with beautiful deep blue water and a variety of big game fish close to the beach. Our inshore trips are offered on the West Coast of Florida in various beautiful locations between Marco Island, 10,000 Islands and the Everglades.

Offshore Trips

Offshore Trip

For this trip we will launch and land at the same beach location. When we set out for the day, we will paddle to depths typically between 100'-350' depending on the day. On average this takes just under an hour. Of course we will be fishing and make occasional stops along the way in search of finding where the fish are that particular day. Keep in mind this is not boat fishing and therefor takes someone in decent physical shape. We will work hard to put you on the fish! Depending on the day we will use artificial and or live baits in addition to vertical jigging. If any of these fishing techniques are unfamiliar to you, We will be more than happy to teach you. All of our trips require you to sign the liability waiver found on the "Waiver" tab and brought with you or to be filled out in person the day of the trip. To keep 1 on 1 time with your guide to a maximum, this trip is limited to 2 anglers per guide. We can make arrangements for larger groups as well.

Tag Along Trips

Tag Along Trip

Tag Along Trips are targeted towards someone who has their own kayak and equipment but has not spent much time if any inshore or offshore on their kayak. It is nice to have someone there with you, especially the first time or two your out there. We will spend time with you and your kayak/equipment making suggestions and helping you customize the best setup for your needs and budget. We will also head out for a day of offshore fishing after going over your setup where we will continue to give advice on the water. We will talk via telephone before the trip to ensure you come with the required safety items required by law and the tackle needed for that days fishing. Keep mind we do not supply any rods/tackle/equipment for these trips. All of our trips require you to sign the liability waiver found on the "Waiver" tab and brought with you or to be filled out in person the day of the trip. A current Florida Fishing License is also required. To keep 1 on 1 time with your guide to a maximum, this trip is limited to 2 anglers per guide. We can make arrangements for larger groups as well.

Inshore Trips

Inshore Trip

Trips will start at various times and launch from various locations of Marco Island, 10,000 Islands, and Everglades depending on weather, wind, tides, current fishing reports and desired species. Typically trips last 4-6 hours and will consist of fishing mangrove lines, grass flats, channels, bridges and docks all to provide you the best opportunity to catch as many fish as possible.  We will do our best to put you in the right place at the right time to catch your desired target species. A combination of artificial lures and live baits will be used throughout the trip. One great thing about kayak fishing is that not all fishing has to take place in the kayak. Kayaks are a means to travel to various islands and shorelines where wade fishing and shoreline fishing are possible and can be just as if not more productive than being in the kayak.

Targeted species include:

  • Redfish
